Anne Weying was a successful lawyer who had the misfortune of being briefly married to Eddie Brock, the disgraced photojournalist who became the original Venom. After she was shot by a villain known as the Sin-Eater, Eddie temporarily allowed his Symbiote to bond with Anne in order to save her life. This union would create She-Venom, and Anne used the power to take violent revenge on her attackers, an event which haunted her after she was free of the Symbiote's grip.
