A Spider-Man from a reality where Uncle Ben never died, Peter Parker was wildly successful in both his civilian and costumed identities. This good fortune went to Peter Parker's head, and he became convinced that he needed more power -- which he would get by bringing Spider-Men into his dimension and taking their power for himself! He lured many Spider-Men, including the Amazing Spider-Man of Earth 616, who convinced him that what he was doing was wrong. Devastated, he allowed his machine to drain his powers, seemingly killing him. However, he was not dead -- his soul was simply trapped in hell. Eventually it was released by the Sorcerer Supreme, allowing him to become Ghost Spider, a supernatural hero who could make up for his past evil deeds!
